Frequently Asked Questions
What are Shaker Kitchen Cabinets?
Shaker cabinets typically feature five-piece doors with a frame around a recessed center panel. With their clean lines and well-defined proportions, they are well-suited to traditional, modern, and transitional styles.
Are Shaker cabinets easy to clean?
Daily cleaning isn't complicated, but there are slightly more grooves at the joints between the frame and the center panel than on flat-panel doors. Simply wipe them down regularly with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent.
Can the width of the Shaker door frame be customized?
Yes. We can adjust the frame width, center panel depth, and exterior decorative details based on the kitchen's proportions, door panel dimensions, and your desired style.
Can a small number of cabinets be shipped along with other materials?
This can be evaluated based on the entire order and the container loading plan. When purchasing furnishings for an entire home or multiple product categories, small quantities of cabinets can typically be shipped together with furniture or other building materials, rather than being subject to a fixed minimum order quantity for a single product.
Is there a charge for cabinet samples?
Most small samples are usually free; you only need to cover shipping. For larger, full-door samples or special custom samples, the cost will be confirmed before production begins.
What information do I need to provide for a quote on Shaker kitchen cabinets?
Please provide the kitchen dimensions or floor plans, your preferred Shaker style proportions and colors, a list of appliances, your preferences for countertops and hardware, the project location, and the timeline. If the information is incomplete, you can schedule a free consultation first.
Materials & Construction
| Cabinet Box | Standard cabinet boxes use 18-millimeter birch plywood with 9-millimeter back panels. Load-bearing shelves and island connection points receive additional reinforcement, and panel machining tolerance is controlled to ±1 millimeter. |
| Cabinet Door | The model shown is a 20- to 22-millimeter Shaker-style framed door panel, which can be constructed with a solid wood frame and a medium-density fiberboard (MDF) core. It is suitable for a smooth, even painted finish and clean, defined frame proportions. |
| Hardware | The standard configuration includes DTC soft-close hinges and full-extension soft-close slides, along with brushed nickel-finish handles. You can upgrade to Blum or Hettich hinges, slides, and corner hardware. |
| Countertop | This kitchen is shown with a 20-millimeter white quartz countertop and light backsplash. A 20-millimeter sintered-stone or 30-millimeter quartz top can be cut to the confirmed sink, cooktop, and appliance specifications. |
| Paint Finish | The door panels feature a warm gray matte lacquer finish, with primer and topcoat applied to both sides and the edges of the panels. The color and gloss level are subject to the signed sample. |
| Dimensional Accuracy | Door gaps, drawer lines, tall-cabinet top lines, and island divisions are aligned in the shop drawings. The standard adjustable gap around installed doors and drawers is approximately 2 millimeters. |
| Compliance & Warranty | Standard wood-based panels meet CARB Phase 2 and EPA TSCA Title VI requirements; FSC-certified wood and plywood are also available. The cabinet structure comes with a 10-year limited warranty. |

Available Finishes
Shaker-style doors are available in soft white, light gray, warm gray, or other custom colors. In addition to color, matte, satin, and wood-grain finishes also affect the shade of the door frame and the overall style; these should ultimately be confirmed using physical samples.
